UPDATE:
On June 10, 2016, the two subjects were arraigned for the following
charges: Armed Robbery, Home Invasion
First Degree, Unlawful Imprisonment and Felony Firearms. The bond was denied on both defendants.
PREVIOUS RELEASE:
On June 9, 2016 at approximately 3:41 a.m., Officers
responded to an armed robbery/home invasion in progress in the 6100 Block of
Coach House Drive. Information was
received that subjects confronted a citizen in the parking lot, displayed a
handgun, and forced the victim into the victim’s residence. Two subjects were apprehended and lodged at
the Ingham County Jail. Charges are
being sought through the Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office for home invasion,
armed robbery and kidnapping. Meridian
Township Police received assistance from the East Lansing and Michigan State
University Police Departments and the Michigan State Police. No one was injured.
The investigation
is ongoing. Anyone who has information regarding this
