Investigations Unit

Investigations Division

The Investigations Unit consists of a supervisor, a fraud investigator, three general investigators and a court services officer.  These positions are filled on a three-year rotating basis; sometimes, an extension is granted by the Chief of Police.  In 2009, a one year extension was granted for the court officer and the fraud investigator.  Three of the five positions were staffed with new personnel in 2009.  The Investigations Unit investigated 490 complaints during 2010.  This number has decreased slightly from 2009.
