The Haslett Road Project (Between Park Lake Road and Shaw Street) - Construction is anticipated to start August 6th, with detour sign erection taking place the week of July 30th.

Phase I work is between Park Lake Road to Okemos Road.  The detour route is East Saginaw Street (BL-69) to Lake Lansing Road to Okemos Road.  Work during Phase I includes storm sewer and curb and gutter construction.  We anticipate Phase I will be re-opened to traffic (on existing pavement) to start Phase II storm and curb work the week of August 20th.

Phase II extends from Okemos Road to Marsh Road.   The detour route is Okemos Road to Lake Lansing Road to Marsh Road.  Storm sewer and curb work for Phase III from Marsh Road to Shaw Street, is anticipated to start by early September.  One way traffic (eastbound only) will be maintained during construction of this segment.  Detour of westbound traffic for this segment will be via Carlton Street and Lake Drive, then Marsh Road, to Lake Lansing Road to Okemos Road.   Local traffic (to destinations within the closure) will be maintained during construction, but access may be limited to one direction at a time while excavation for storm sewer is in progress. We anticipate that the underground work will be completed by Mid-September, with road surface rehabilitation and asphalt paving to follow using the same detour cycle as previously described.  Opening to traffic is expected by late October.
