Fraud Alert

Citizens around the Lansing area are experiencing charges on their checking account from “Alliance Network”. The checks are written out to Alliance Network from the victims accounts.  Some victims who have noticed the charges on their accounts from Alliance Network have called the number on the check questioning the charge on their account and are advised that a refund check will be sent to them. When the check arrives and the victim deposits the check it comes back to a closed account. Numerous banking institutions are in the process of investigating the situation. Meridian Township Police advises our residents to periodically check their bank statements in order to catch any fraudulent activities as soon as possible
