Bank Robbery

On February 1, 2012 at approximately 11:31 A.M Meridian Township Police officers responded to a report that the Fifth Third Bank, located at 4815 Okemos Road, had just been robbed.  At the time of the robbery there were no customers in the bank, and no one was injured during the crime.  Officers from East Lansing, Ingham County and Michigan State University responded as well to assist.


Employees reported that a suspect entered the bank displayed a handgun and took a known quantity of U.S. currency.  The suspect then left the business by the front door and fled on foot in a southwesterly direction.

The suspect is described as:
-          a white male
-          approximately 5’8” tall
-          thin build
-          no facial hair
-          last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, jeans, black tennis shoes with a white band around the sole, aviator style sunglasses and a red bandana covering his face.
