Update: Stabbing in Haslett

On Tuesday, October 18, 2011, at 11:04 p.m., Meridian Township Police responded to a fight in the 5800 block of Marsh Road. Officers arrived to find a male subject lying in the road. Officers have determined the confrontation began at the nearby Quality Dairy. One participant was stabbed and another was injured with an impact weapon. The injured parties were treated at Sparrow Hospital. The Michigan State Police First District Fugitive Team located and arrested three individuals wanted in this incident. All three were arraigned at 55th District Court in Mason.

• John Harley Malcolm, 21, charged with Malicious Destruction of Property $200 - $1,000, Assault with Intent to Commit Great Bodily Harm - Less than Murder, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with Unlawful Intent, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Ethnic Intimidation, and Felonious Assault. Bond set at $75,000 cash or surety.

 • Jesse Ryan Truitt, 20, charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Great Bodily Harm - Less than Murder, Carrying a Dangerous Weapon with Unlawful Intent, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, Ethnic Intimidation, and Felonious Assault. Bond set at $75,000 cash or surety.

 • Kenneth Richard Wood, 21, charged with Assault with Intent to Commit Great Bodily Harm - Less than Murder, Canying a Concealed Weapon, and Ethnic Intimidation. Bond set at $75,000 cash or surety. All three subjects are scheduled for preliminary examination before Judge Donald Allen Jr., 55th District Court, on November 3,2011, at 9:00 a.m.
