Single vehicle accident in Williamstown Twp.


On Monday, September 19, 2011, at 12:45 a.m., Meridian Township Police responded to a single-vehicle accident in Williamstown Township.  The vehicle was traveling west on Haslett Road, near Meridian Road, when it left the roadway and hit a tree.  The male driver, an 18-year-old Meridian Township resident, was extricated from the vehicle by Ingham County Heavy Rescue and treated by N.I.E.S.A. Ambulance Service.  He was transported to Sparrow Hospital by helicopter.  It was later determined his injuries are non-life threatening.  Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
