Suspect arrested for business break-in

On Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at 11:08 p.m., Meridian Township Police responded to a break in at Chapelure in the Hannah Plaza.  The business was closed and the owner entered the business and found a man inside.  The owner chased the man out of the store.  The suspect ran to his vehicle and drove away.  The victim followed in his own vehicle and called 911.  The suspect drove into East Lansing where he was stopped and detained by the East Lansing Police.

On Thursday, June 30, 2011, the suspect was arraigned at the 55th District Court.  The suspect, Jeremy Lester Parker, thirty-years-old.  Parker was charged with Breaking and Entering and Possession of Burglary Tools.  Bond was set at $75,000.
