On Friday, June 3, 2011, Meridian Township Police arrested 17-year-old Armando Cueva, of Lansing, for his involvement in an armed robbery that occurred on May 21, 2011, at approximately 1:00 a.m. During this incident, the victim walked out of a gas station located at Grand River Avenue and East Brookfield Drive and was approached by Cueva. Cueva demanded money and struck the victim with an object afterward.
Cueva was taken into custody and lodged at the Ingham County Jail. He was arraigned on Saturday, June 4, 2011, and charged with Assault with Intent to Rob While Armed. A $15,000 bond was set and his next court date is unknown.
Police are seeking assistance from anyone having information regarding this incident.
