We have been seeing some larceny from auto complaints lately that might have been prevented. Here are a few simple steps that if you follow could help prevent a criminal from stealing valuables from your car. They are:
1. Park in clear, well lit areas (no bushes or trees blocking the view of your car)
2. Remove laptops, G.P.S. units, IPods, purses, checkbooks or other valuables from your car.
3. If for some reason you can't remove the valuables from your car, lock them in your trunk.
4. Lock your vehicle.
We think if you follow these simple steps it will help reduce the likelihood that a thief will target your vehicle.
