MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, MI — The vehicle involved in the hit and run accident has been located and the suspect has been identified and is in custody.  Charges will be sought through the Ingham County Prosecutor’s office.

MERIDIAN TOWNSHIP, MI — On March 27, 2017, at approximately 7:00 am, Meridian Police responded to a hit and run accident on E. Lake Drive near Oak Park Trail.  A vehicle heading south on E. Lake Drive struck two pedestrians who were waiting at a school bus stop.  A 42-year-old female and her 13-year-old daughter were both transported to Sparrow Hospital.  A light colored vehicle was observed leaving the scene traveling South on E. Lake Drive.
The investigation of this case is ongoing.  Anyone who has information regarding this incident is requested to contact the Meridian Township Police Department at 517.853.4800, Crime Stoppers at 517.483.STOP, or submit an anonymous tip through the Department’s social media sites.
