Investigations Division
The Investigations Unit consists of a supervisor, a fraud investigator, three general investigators and a court services officer. These positions are filled on a three-year rotating basis; sometimes, an extension is granted by the Chief of Police. In 2009, a one year extension was granted for the court officer and the fraud investigator. Three of the five positions were staffed with new personnel in 2009. The Investigations Unit investigated 490 complaints during 2010. This number has decreased slightly from 2009.

A total of $80,738 worth of stolen property was recovered and one car was forfeited through the Omnibus Forfeiture Act in 2009. A total of $32,936 worth of stolen property was recovered in 2010. The majority of the recovered stolen property was returned to victims.
