EAST LANSING, Mich. — A
composite sketch has been created of the suspect believed to be involved in a
recent string of sexual assault cases in the City of East Lansing.
Please note the following

In
addition to the composite sketch, the East Lansing Police Department (ELPD) now
believes the suspect likely has a tattoo on his left arm or shoulder. The
investigation into the recent sexual assaults is ongoing. Anyone with tips is

Investigation Background
Two sexual assaults and one
attempted sexual assault recently occurred in the City of East Lansing. All
three victims were MSU students.
The most recent case occurred Thursday,
May 16 at approximately 8 p.m. in the parking lot outside of the Abbott Pointe
Apartments off of Abbot Road. The suspect dragged the victim behind a dumpster,
where he physically and sexually assaulted her before fleeing on foot northbound
on Abbot Road. The suspect was last seen on Abbot Road just north of Saginaw
Street. He is described as a white
male with an average build and height (5’5”-5’10”), approximately 18-25 years
old. He was wearing a faded red or pink shirt, shorts and grey shoes white
socks.
Two similar cases occurred prior
to the May 16 assault this past April; the first taking place on Coolidge Road
south of Lake Lansing Road around midnight on Saturday, April 20. The victim
was dragged to a secluded area where she was physically and sexually assaulted.
The second incident took place at approximately 3 a.m. on Friday, April 26 in
the 300 block of Charles Street. The victim was attacked upon attempting to enter
her home and dragged to a secluded area, where she was physically assaulted and
an attempted sexual assault occurred.
In all three cases the suspect
was described as a white male with an average build and height (5’5”-5’10”),
approximately 18-25 years old.
