On Monday, March 25, 2013, at approximately 11:45 A.M., Meridian Township Police responded to Independent Bank at 2119 Hamilton Road in Okemos reference to a bank robbery. A white male suspect entered the bank and approached a teller with a note. The teller complied with the note and gave the suspect and undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspect fled on foot in an unknown direction. Canine units from the Lansing Police Department and the Michigan State Police tracked the suspect to a nearby parking lot, where the track was terminated. The suspect remains at large. He is described as a white male, mid-twenties, approximately 5'10", with a thin build and possibly brown hair. He wore a black driving cap, mirrored sunglasses, khaki pants, and white Nike athletic shoes.
