Armed Robbery at Jimmy John's


           On May 22, 2012, at approximately 11:28 P.M., Meridian Township Police officers responded to an armed robbery at the Jimmy John’s restaurant located at 4790 South Hagadorn Road.  No one was injured during the crime. 
Employees reported that a suspect entered the business, displayed a handgun, and took an unknown quantity of U.S. currency.  The suspect then left the business by the back door and ran to a vehicle that was waiting for him on Hannah Blvd.
            The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, gray sweat pants, red Converse All Star tennis shoes with a white band around the sole, aviator style sunglasses and a red baseball cap with a black bill (possibly a Chicago Blackhawks hat).

        This incident remains under investigation by the Meridian Township Police Department.
